Emirati Women’s Organizational Leadership Program

Within the GCC, women’s increasing participation at all levels of the workforce is widely recognized as crucial, and is becoming more and more celebrated and common. In response to this rising trend, and in association with the United States’ Middle East Partnership Initiative and the Abu Dhabi Chamber, the UAE Academy has developed a unique program specifically for the Emirati Woman Leader.

Women who achieve success in traditionally male-dominated cultures have specific qualities in common. They think strategically, they communicate well, and they get the job done. This program is designed to train women already in mid-level to high-level positions, as they begin their paths to placement in key leadership roles in the country.

Through a variety of critical conversations, strategic planning, case study analysis, trainer presentation and group discussion, participants are guided in a step-by-step process to discover and deepen their own innate leadership strengths.

This program will further engage participants through mentoring and

advising, research and a capstone presentation synthesizing leadership and management skills gained. Throughout the six month part-time modular program, participants will work closely with highly qualified faculty members, program advisors and well-established women peer leaders. The course is constructed to empower participants with high-level management tools such as negotiation, conflict management, and strategic communication, and will give insights into managing group dynamics and understanding change management.

At the end of the program, a participant will have the knowledge, skill and ability to confidently move ahead in her path as a leader. Additionally, individuals will have made valuable contacts that will benefit both themselves and their organizations. Each successful delegate will be awarded a certificate in Strategic Leadership.
