About Institute of Management Consultants
The Institute of Management Consultants (IMC) is a newly established autonomous and independent national entity. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of the UAE Academy. This entity is established in support of the Abu Dhabi/UAE government’s Vision 2030, with entrepreneurship as one key focus, and the ADCCI’s private sector development mission.
The Institute of Management Consultants was established, as a professional organization, to promote and develop the management consultancy profession , and the adoption of the highest standards of knowledge, skills and conduct by members of the profession in Abu Dhabi and Other Emirates. This institute is an extension of the entrepreneurship and management consultancy programs and services the UAE Academy has been offering to the public and private organizations since its formation in 2006. Through its proposed affiliation, which it is now seeking through a formal application, with the International Council of Management Consulting Institutes (ICMCI), headquartered in the Netherlands, the IMC aims to be able to award the Certified Management Consultant (CMC/CMCT) and related qualifications to those who have gone through the required and stringent training and certification process. The IMC will also be establishing collaborative partnerships with other established international institutes of management consultants.
Institute of Management Consultants (Singapore) and UAE Academy Sign Memorandum of Understanding
The Institute of Management Consultants (Singapore) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with UAE Academy to collaborate on the development of the UAE Academy’s Institute of Management Consultants in Abu Dhabi (UAE).
The Institute of Management Consultants, Abu Dhabi (UAE) is an autonomous and independent entity with the main purpose to promote and develop the management consultancy profession and to adopt the highest standards of knowledge, skills and conduct for members of the profession in Abu Dhabi and Other Emirates in the UAE. It is in the process of applying for membership with the International Council of Management Consulting Institutes (ICMCI), which is based in the Netherlands. The ICMCI is the global association of national management consulting institutes from around the world.
The Institute of Management Consultants (Singapore) is a full member of the ICMCI and has as its prime objective the promotion of skills and knowledge of management consultancy, and the adoption of the highest standards of conduct by members of the management consulting profession in Singapore.
Under the MoU, both parties will collaborate in the provisions of certified and non-certified Management Consultancy and related professional development programs and CMC (Certified Management Consultant) certification related areas.
